Hello world!
I'm Katia and I'm just your (more-or-less) average fourteen year old girl. Right now I'm packing for my trip to Finland, where I'm going to be spending a semester studying. It's a little terrifying, and I'm not looking forward to the weather, after having spent my entire life in sunny California, but it's also exciting. I'm half-Korean, half-Finnish, so academically speaking, I have a lot to live up to, as these two countries have always topped the PISA charts.
Luckily, I speak enough Finnish to get by, and I will be staying with my cousins who will be going to the same school, so it shouldn't be impossible adjusting to the new environment. However, I will be going to a school with less than 30 kids per grade (compared to the 400+ kids in my American high school) so it's bound to be a culture shock.
This is just a short little intro, and I'm leaving tomorrow, so I need to finish packing.
That's all for now :)
